The main role of Topsham Community Association is to lease and operate our two venues, Matthews Hall and the Dorothy Holman Centre, on behalf of the community. This means we are responsible for the management and upkeep of these venues, and work to ensure they are safe to use and financially sustainable into the future.
Alongside this management and operational role, we undertake and facilitate activities at the venues to encourage use and bring in much needed income to support the running costs. Examples of this are the Topsham Theatre Live events and Pickleball.
We organise community activities that bring people together at our venues, such as the popular Saturday Market, the Over 50s Youth Group and the Parent and Toddlers Group.
We also host community initiatives such as the weekly Topsham Library of Things and the monthly Repair Cafe.
Away from our venues, we also host the Topsham Planning Panel, Topsham Flood Watch and the Friends of Topsham Library.
We work closely with Love Topsham and many other local groups and businesses.
